Vinos Humboldt
Official Online Store of HUMBOLDT Sweet Wines and Tenerife Vermouth
The range of sweet Humboldt wines covered by the brand are made from Listán Negro from the 1997 and 2001 harvests with up to 60 months in American oak barrels. Its commercialization began in 1999, the year in which the second centenary of the passage through Tenerife of the German naturalist and geographer Alexander von Humboldt was celebrated. With the Humboldt sweet wines, both the White Sweet Wine -a jewel aged 4 years in American oak barrels-. like Humboldt sweet red wine, we have managed to open a path of excellence towards the top, placing ourselves at the first of the most internationally recognized, as evidenced by the Bachus de Oro and the scores up to 97score in the Peñín Guide, among many others awards received.
In 2014, through the insular laboratory, the idea of a new project based on wine arose; a differentiated and high-quality local vermouth Humboldt. To do this, 40 botanicals were experimented with at different maceration times, highlighting at all times the protagonist of the vermouth: the mugwort. In the Canary Islands we have our native artemisia, which is what is known as "Canarian incense" and it is with it that this surprising Canary Vermouth has been achieved with such a characteristic aroma and that distinguished and extraordinary flavor that our Humboldt vermouth offers.
